Republican women believe it's an economic imperative to cut state and federal spending and to eliminate costly, overlapping and unnecessary governmental programs. Allowing people and small businesses to grow without the constraints of excessive taxation is a requirement for our state to prosper. Republican women realize that we know how to spend our money better than the government knows how to spend our money. Republican women believe that power and resources are best controlled by the people and not by politicians. We believe you should have the right to determine your individual destiny. Government is most effective when it does not interfere with its people’s right to prosper.

We believe that less government is better government. We support every reasonable effort on the part of all governments and taxpayers to limit taxing and spending. We believe that the purpose of taxation is to fund the constitutionally mandated functions of government, not to "redistribute wealth," or to fund ever increasing social programs. We believe social problems are best handled by private groups or benevolent organizations, not by the government. We should strive to have fewer government restrictions, fewer government employees and lower taxes.
